A chemistry graduate from Madura College, Madurai, He completed Chartered Accountancy in Nov. 1982 and has been in practice active practice since then. He is a qualified insolvency resolution professional of the insolvency and bankruptcy board of India. He is also a qualified independent director panelist with ministry of corporate affairs. He has served as the Secretary of the Madurai Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India during 1985 to 87 and was the Chairman during 1987-88. He was an elected member of the Southern India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India between 1988-91. He is a consultant on Financial Structuring, Management Information Systems for various corporate houses, Systems Design and Development for Software companies at Chennai and Coimbatore.

He has been actively involved in developing software in Logistics; Web enabled solutions and indigenous ERP solutions for industrial applications. He is a member of the Madura College Board and serves as the SECRETARY since 2010. He is also a member of the Chamber Arbitration Tribunal of Tamilnadu Chamber of Commerce, Madurai. Lead the Group Study exchange Team of 4 persons to the State of Texas, USA in Mar – April 2010
